Talca Court of Appeals rejects challenge to Casino Dreams construction permit

Regulation

The Talca Court of Appeals rejected a protection appeal seeking to halt construction of the new Casino Dreams in Chile’s Maule region, ruling that the municipal building permit was not illegal. The court said the regional environmental authority had found the project did not require assessment under the environmental review system and would not affect the wetland; Dreams plans to submit final documents to the Superintendence of Casinos of Gaming in November before the review required to open.

The ruling leaves construction moving towards the final regulatory review required before the casino can open.
