Chile casino bidders cite weak competition after two offers in four tenders
Dreams, Marina del Sol and Corporación Meier said they did not bid in casino tenders for Iquique, Coquimbo, Viña del Mar and Pucón, criticising the conditions set by Chile’s Superintendence of Gaming Casinos. The authority received two offers on 11 August, for Coquimbo and Pucón. Corporación Meier also asked the regulator to annul the tender and refer the matter to the Comptroller General for a legality review.
Limited bids and a request to annul the tender could affect casino permit allocation in the four Chilean cities.
