Brightstar Lottery said it signed an exclusive five-year extension with Sony Pictures to develop and distribute Ghostbusters-themed omnichannel lottery games globally. Brightstar said the partnership has produced more than 25 games across over 20 lotteries worldwide since it became a licensee in 2015.
The extension continues Brightstar’s rights to develop Ghostbusters lottery games across its global markets.

Reportedly, Brightstar Lottery opened a renovated Lotto draw hall in Milan on 20 October, as part of the innovation programme under the new Lotto concession. The Italian launch covers its eInstant portfolio, while the Ontario deployment is its first in that market; Fennica said it had previously received a B2B licence there.
IGT said it will wind down its electronic table game business in 2027 as part of its strategic focus. The company said it will continue supporting customers during the transition, but gave no further details on the closure process.
