Brightstar Lottery signs multi-year contract renewal with Spain's ONCE

Brightstar Lottery PLC said on 22 October 2026 that its subsidiary Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation signed a multi-year contract renewal with the Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles (ONCE). Under the renewal, the subsidiary will continue to support ONCE's lottery activities in Spain through software updates and the progressive evolution of the central gaming system, the company announced.

Brightstar has been the technology supplier to ONCE's lotteries since 2002, according to the announcement. The company did not give the financial terms or the duration of the renewal.

Virginia Castellano, ONCE's deputy director general for organisation, talent and resources, said ONCE was pleased to continue its long and productive collaboration with Brightstar. She said Brightstar was the right partner to help ONCE continue developing its lottery activities and to strengthen its commitment to safe, responsible lotteries with a social purpose, which fund programmes and services for people with severe visual impairments and other disabilities in Spain.

Marco Tasso, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Global Lottery at Brightstar, said ONCE is recognised worldwide for its work on the social and professional inclusion of people with disabilities, and that Brightstar is honoured to support its lottery activities and this mission. He said Brightstar was pleased to continue providing technology solutions for ONCE's lottery system.
