Brazil plans mandatory betting-risk warnings at the end of advertisements
Brazil’s Ministry of Finance plans to require warnings about financial and health risks at the end of betting advertisements, the government said. The ministry is assessing the legal instrument, including a possible provisional measure, and expects the rule to take effect during the World Cup qualifying stage. The proposal follows an investigation into betting promotions on CazéTV broadcasts.
The proposed warning requirement would change the content of betting advertisements for operators and broadcasters in Brazil.
