Brazilian government announces mandatory warnings for betting adverts
Brazil’s federal government announced that sports-betting advertisements will have to display risk warnings, according to the report. The prescribed wording will begin with “Ministry of Finance warns” and include one of three messages about losing money, addiction or betting not being an investment. The report says the measures stem from cooperation between the Finance and Justice ministries.
Betting operators and advertisers will need to include prescribed warnings in promotional material.
