Brazil government launches betting self-exclusion campaign and support platform

Regulation

Brazil’s government launched the “Livre das Bets com um clique” campaign on its social media the week before the report, alongside a self-exclusion platform for betting users. The platform provides information on public health support and a non-diagnostic mental health self-test; from February 2026, public telehealth services focused on gambling are planned to offer 450 appointments a month with Hospital Sírio-Libanês. The report said SPA representatives were surprised by the campaign’s timing and tone.

Operators may face increased user self-exclusion as the government promotes a national blocking platform.
