Brazil casino bill could permit 61 venues and attract $70bn investment
Brazil’s Senate is considering Bill 2.234, which could permit 61 gaming establishments if approved, while the Constitution and Justice Committee has issued a favourable opinion. Tourism-sector speakers at the SBC Summit Rio projected that integrated resorts could attract about $70bn in direct and indirect investment; the Senate still needs to vote.
The bill’s outcome could determine whether operators and investors can pursue casino resorts in Brazil.
