Regulation

Brazil’s betting sector is pursuing challenges before the Supreme Federal Court, the Federal Court of Accounts and Congress against Provisional Measure 1.394/2026, which banned fixed-odds betting, according to reports from a sector discussion. Industry participants said they had identified about 6,000 illegal sites in four days; the measure remains in force while Congress considers it, with up to 120 days to act.
