Betting sponsors covered 28.2% of 14 Brazilian clubs’ monthly wage bills
A media-reported analysis found that betting companies’ main-sponsor deals with 14 Brazilian Série A clubs totalled about R$1.01bn a year, equal to 28.2% of their combined monthly player wage bills. The estimate compares sponsorship values with reported wage-bill estimates, which the report said are not calculated using a standard method.
