Sports betting supplier Altenar published a report on betting activity during the 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup. It said Bet Builders accounted for 39.6% of single bets, compared with 20.28% at UEFA Euro 2024, and reported larger average stakes in the knockout stages than in the group stage.
The reported patterns offer operators data on bet types and stake changes across tournament stages.

Altenar and the International Betting Integrity Association have partnered on sports betting integrity in Africa. The report cites IBIA projections, based on H2 Gambling Capital data, that African gambling GGR will reach US$19.4bn by 2030.
Altenar has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), the company announced, with the sportsbook supplier citing the body's monitoring and intelligence-sharing work as the basis for its membership. IBIA is a not-for-profit association that works on sports betting integrity, and its membership covers more than 90 companies and 200 betting brands, according to the announcement.
Altenar says it will attend G2E Las Vegas 2026 to discuss sportsbook opportunities with operators and partners in the United States and Canada. The provider cited its partnership with DAZN Bet, which recently expanded into Ontario and Alberta, as part of its North American activity.
Altenar said it has added Bet Builder features for the 2026 NFL season. Direct Calculation lets players combine compatible selections from market groups, while Bet Builder Bundles organises related selections into betting paths. The company said both features had previously been introduced for other sports.
Altenar has launched its online sportsbook for Greentube-owned Admiral Casino in the UK, the companies said. The service offers pre-match and live betting, alongside risk-management and promotional tools. The launch follows a sportsbook partnership announced earlier in the year.
Altenar announced an agreement to provide sportsbook technology for DAZN Bet’s launches in Ontario and Alberta. The companies said the deployments will extend their existing partnership; Altenar also noted that Alberta opened its regulated online gambling market on 13 July.
