Alberta sets 13 July 2026 launch for commercial online gambling market

Licences & markets

Alberta will open its regulated commercial online gambling market on 13 July 2026, according to an update from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC). Operators must register with AGLC, sign a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation and pay required fees by launch. Licensed operators will pay 20% of gross gaming revenue, after deductions for First Nations funding and social responsibility initiatives.

Operators seeking entry must complete registration, agreements and fee payments before the provincial market opens.
