Alberta launches regulated online gambling market as suppliers enter
Alberta has launched its regulated online gambling market, becoming Canada’s second province with a multi-operator system, after Ontario established its rules in 2022. Altenar and Tonybet said they received approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission, while Pragmatic Play said it had brought its games to the market.
The launch creates a new regulated provincial market for operators and suppliers seeking Canadian expansion.
