AGCO agrees two-day PointsBet suspension in Ontario betting case

Enforcement & compliance

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) reached a settlement with PointsBet Canada that includes a two-day suspension over its handling of suspicious bets involving Jontay Porter. The agreement resolves the AGCO’s February 2026 proposal for a five-day suspension. PointsBet must also undergo an independent audit by an AGCO-approved auditor and address and validate any findings.

PointsBet must serve a two-day suspension and complete an independent audit with corrective action in Ontario.
