AGA cites prediction markets as challenge to Super Bowl wagering growth
The American Gaming Association estimated that Super Bowl LX would generate $1.76bn in legal US sports bets and said prediction markets pose challenges to the regulated market. Its survey found that 78% of sports event contract bettors thought state regulators could help resolve platform disputes, while 28% said responsible-gambling tools were easy to find.
The findings highlight consumer-protection and regulatory-oversight concerns for operators competing with prediction-market platforms.
