In brief

  • ADM met Sapar, Acadi, Acmi, Agic and As.Tro on 30 October 2026 to review VLT management proposals.
  • Sapar's Sergio D'Angelo said talks covered VLT technical features, energy rules and document digitalisation.
  • ADM will assess the proposals, with a second meeting planned, also in view of new concessions.

Italy's ADM met gambling trade associations at its headquarters on 30 October 2026 to examine proposals for managing VLT machines more efficiently, according to the associations. The meeting was attended by Elisabetta Poso, head of the agency's entertainment equipment office, and by representatives of Sapar, Acadi, Acmi, Agic and As.Tro. ADM will assess the proposals, and a second meeting is planned.

Sapar president Sergio D'Angelo said the discussion covered the technical characteristics of VLTs, adapting them to new energy rules and to the digitalisation of documents. He said the associations' proposals were recapped at the meeting and that ADM will evaluate them, with a second meeting to bring the proposals together and identify those the agency considers most workable, also in view of new concessions.

D'Angelo described the meeting as constructive and thanked Poso for the attention and professionalism she again brought to the sector's issues. No date was given for the second meeting, and the source gives no indication of when ADM will complete its assessment.
