Aécio Neves proposes nationwide restrictions on betting advertising
Federal deputy Aécio Neves scheduled a meeting with Chamber of Deputies leader Hugo Motta on 8 July to present a proposal restricting online betting advertising in Brazil. The draft would bar promotion across mass media and the use of artists, influencers and other public figures, while allowing advertising on operators’ own websites and apps and sponsorship of arenas and sports teams. The proposal has not been described as introduced or approved.
If enacted, the proposal would narrow the advertising channels available to betting operators in Brazil.
