X has added gambling products and services to the prohibited industries for Paid Partnerships, according to the reported policy update. The restriction covers compensated organic posts, including affiliate commissions and revenue-sharing arrangements; X says violations may lead to content removal or account restrictions.
Operators and affiliates using compensated organic posts on X may need to review those promotional arrangements.

Nigerian researchers analysed more than 5,000 pre-match bets worth about ₦6.5bn from betting influencers. The bets produced a combined win rate of 10.39%. The report said tipsters primarily earn through affiliate arrangements, receiving payments linked to followers’ stakes regardless of betting outcomes.
Better Collective reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of €86m and EBITDA before special items of €25m, a 29% margin. Kalshi said it removed its affiliate badges from X earlier this week after the platform barred paid partnerships with accounts sharing gambling and sports betting content. The company said users had mistaken badges for official endorsements and that monitoring the programme had become difficult.
Kalshi and Polymarket were linked to social media accounts posing as sports reporters, which were later labelled parody accounts by X, according to the report. The companies had not explained how the associations arose or whether they knew the accounts were fictional.
