Wiesbaden court orders PokerStars provider to repay player €64,500

Regulation

The Wiesbaden Regional Court ruled on 10 January 2026 that the provider of PokerStars’ German-language online casino and poker services must repay a player about €64,500 in losses. The court found the provider lacked the required German licence during the period from February 2016 to January 2023; the report says it obtained a licence in March 2023.

The ruling highlights repayment exposure for providers that offered online gambling without a required German licence.
