Visakhapatnam police arrest 24 in alleged online betting network probe
Visakhapatnam Cybercrime Police arrested 24 people in an investigation into an alleged online betting operation spanning several Indian states and Sri Lanka. Police said the case involved more than ₹500 crore in transactions and around ₹1,500 crore in alleged gains and public losses; the investigation is continuing.
The arrests and ongoing probe concern an alleged betting network using online platforms and hundreds of bank accounts.
