Valencian government proposes limits on gaming venues and bar machines

Regulation

The Generalitat Valenciana published a public-information notice for a draft decree setting out proposed rules for the region’s gambling sector. The draft would allow new type B machines in hospitality venues only as replacements, prevent growth in the number of gaming venues, and set proposed minimum distances of 850 metres from schools and child-protection spaces and 500 metres between gambling venues.

The draft would constrain machine authorisations and the location or expansion of gambling venues in the region.
