Valencian government maintains restrictions on new gambling venues

Regulation

The Valencian government approved a decree maintaining restrictions on in-person gambling venues in the region. It blocks new gaming halls and betting shops, and permits new bingo halls only when they result from relocating an existing venue; new category B machines in hospitality premises are also barred except in specified cases. The decree sets voluntary exclusion-register terms of six months to 20 years and requires a new sector study within five years.

Venue restrictions and exclusion-register terms shape operators’ expansion options and the safeguards available to people seeking exclusion.
