Uruguayan casino operators form CUOASEC to represent the sector

Casino and entertainment venue operators in Uruguay formed the Cámara Uruguaya de Operadores y Locadores de Cassinos e Espaços de Entretenimento (CUOASEC) last week, according to the report. The chamber says it aims to represent the industry and take part in developing a regulatory framework; Luis Alberto Gama Hernández was named executive secretary.

CUOASEC gives Uruguay’s casino and entertainment operators a shared body to represent them in regulatory discussions.

Codere.it adopts Playtech’s BetBuddy responsible-gambling platform

Codere.it has chosen Playtech’s BetBuddy platform to support its responsible-gambling monitoring and prevention work, the company said. The system analyses gambling behaviour and can flag potential risk indicators; Codere.it also offers deposit, spending and time limits, suspension periods and self-exclusion.

Codere.it has adopted BetBuddy, a responsible-gambling platform developed by Playtech, to strengthen its monitoring, prevention and promotion of responsible gambling, the company said. The platform uses artificial intelligence and behavioural analysis to monitor gambling activity and identify potential risk indicators at an early stage, according to the announcement.
