Deals & M&A1 min read

In brief

  • Codere.it has adopted Playtech's BetBuddy platform for responsible-gambling monitoring and prevention, the company said.
  • BetBuddy uses artificial intelligence and behavioural analysis to flag potential risk indicators early.
  • Codere.it also offers deposit, spending and time limits, suspension periods and self-exclusion.

Codere.it has adopted BetBuddy, a responsible-gambling platform developed by Playtech, to strengthen its monitoring, prevention and promotion of responsible gambling, the company said. The platform uses artificial intelligence and behavioural analysis to monitor gambling activity and identify potential risk indicators at an early stage, according to the announcement.

By analysing various parameters and changes in gambling habits, BetBuddy can generate alerts that support the activation of prevention and support measures, the company said. Codere.it said this adds a technological and predictive approach to its traditional player-protection tools, which include deposit, spending and playing-time limits, suspension periods and self-exclusion.

Codere said the arrangement with Playtech forms part of its wider view of responsible gambling as an integral part of its entertainment model, rather than only a set of tools and procedures. Personalised communications, information and support tools are intended to encourage a more aware relationship with gambling, the company said.
