UOKiK examines Polish bookmakers’ consumer-protection practices

Regulation

Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) is reportedly conducting social responsibility checks on bookmakers, including Fortuna, STS, Superbet, Bukmachers, E-toto Bukmachers and LV Bet. The review covers websites, apps, customer terms, player-protection tools and possible interface practices that could influence consumer behaviour; UOKiK can impose fines of up to 10% of annual turnover for breaches.

The checks could expose bookmakers to enforcement and fines over customer terms, interface design and player-protection measures.
