Toni Ricciardi questions Polymarket-Lazio sponsorship in parliamentary inquiry

Regulation

PD deputy Toni Ricciardi asked Italy’s economy and finance minister to examine the Polymarket sponsorship agreement with S.S. Lazio, announced on 18 April 2026. He asked whether the platform’s activities comply with Italian rules and what checks the government would pursue, including through the Customs and Monopolies Agency. The inquiry raises questions about gambling and financial-services oversight; it does not report a government finding.

The inquiry could prompt scrutiny of the platform’s status and sponsorship under Italian gambling and financial rules.
