Ricciardi asks Italy to review Polymarket-Lazio sponsorship and platform authorisations

Regulation

Italian MP Toni Ricciardi has asked the government to examine Polymarket’s sponsorship agreement with S.S. Lazio, announced on 18 April 2026, and the platform’s legal status. Operators and regulators may face scrutiny over Polymarket’s authorisations, sponsorship and compliance with gambling advertising restrictions.
