Terni police conducted nine checks at gaming halls and VLT venues during the first half of 2026, as part of 67 administrative inspections, according to the report. Police said inspections across the activities led to 42 administrative violations being cited and four licence suspensions under Article 100 of the T.U.L.P.S.

Rho's local police issued six €500 sanctions during July, August and the days before the report for breaches of the town's operating-hour restrictions at gaming venues. The restrictions require gaming activity to stop daily from 7.30 to 9.30, noon to 14.00 and 19.00 to 21.00, under a mayoral order dated 9 January 2024.

Bergamo’s police chief revoked a company’s licence to install and operate VLTs at a venue in Trescore Balneario on 10 August 2026, after authorities found the premises were mainly operating as a bar. Police said inspections had found customers using the venue for food and drink, and local officers confirmed its operation as a bar; further checks at other venues are continuing.
