ADM and police seize illegal poker venue and gaming terminals in Lonato

Enforcement & compliance

Italy’s Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM), financial police and state police seized a private venue and unauthorised gaming terminals in Lonato del Garda during a joint operation against illegal gambling. Investigators said the venue hosted poker tournaments for profit and that the terminals lacked authorisation and were not connected to ADM’s network. A court validated the investigators’ actions and ordered the arrested club official to report to judicial police; the case remains subject to the presumption of innocence.

The seizure and ongoing tax investigation concern enforcement risks for businesses operating unauthorised gambling venues and machines.
