TCU closes initial betting data-security monitoring process in Brazil

Regulation

Brazil’s Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) unanimously closed its initial monitoring process on data security at authorised fixed-odds betting companies during a plenary session on 11 March, according to the report. The subject remains under review in a broader thematic audit led by the TCU’s AudDefesa unit. The court directed that its decision be notified to the Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting.

The data-security review continues under a broader audit, keeping authorised betting platforms within the TCU’s scrutiny.
