Syria’s communications ministry blocks gambling and betting websites
Syria’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology blocked access to several gambling and betting websites targeting users in the country, according to a ministry statement. The restriction is temporary while a specialised committee investigates, and the ministry also asked social media platforms to remove advertisements for the sites.
The temporary blocks and ad-removal requests affect access to gambling websites and their promotion in Syria.
