Indonesia blocks 3.7 million gambling websites since October 2024
Indonesia’s Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid reported that authorities had blocked 3.7 million online gambling websites since October 2024, with figures covering activity through 12 July 2026. The ministry also reported more than 38,000 suspended bank accounts, while police arrested 1,164 suspected people in 2026 and seized $105 million.
The reported blocking of gambling websites and suspension of bank accounts shows Indonesia’s enforcement reaches related financial activity.
