Sri Lanka orders telecoms to block 24 unlicensed gambling websites
Sri Lanka’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission directed all telecommunications providers to block access to 24 online gambling and betting websites immediately, following a notification from the Gambling Regulatory Authority. The Ministry of Digital Economy said providing or promoting online gambling without a valid licence is an offence under the Gambling Regulatory Authority Act 2025.
Online gambling providers in Sri Lanka risk unlawful activity and blocked access if they operate or promote services without a valid licence.
