Regulation

Spain’s Council of Ministers approved a royal decree on 23 June setting default deposit limits across online gambling operators, according to the report. The caps are €700 a day, €1,750 a week and €3,300 over four weeks per player, with the DGOJ responsible for a real-time monitoring system. Jdigital raised concerns about implementation costs, competition and possible sanctions during early technical problems.

Operators will have to coordinate deposit tracking under DGOJ oversight and address the implementation concerns raised by Jdigital.
