South Africa’s National Gambling Board partners with NSFAS on student gambling prevention
South Africa’s National Gambling Board and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme said they will work together to raise gambling awareness and prevent misuse of student allowances. They plan to formalise the partnership through a memorandum of understanding and run outreach, education and financial-literacy initiatives at universities and TVET colleges.
The planned programme will involve student-funding and gambling authorities in prevention efforts across tertiary institutions.
