Receita Federal targets promoters and financiers of illegal betting in Brazil
Brazil’s Receita Federal will seek income tax, PIS and Cofins from influencers promoting unauthorised betting operators, the agency’s secretary Robinson Barreirinhas said on 19 June. A 18 June ordinance also makes financial institutions liable if they continue processing funds for irregular operators after notice from the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA).
