Receita Federal assigns betting tax oversight to São Paulo unit
Brazil’s Receita Federal assigned national tax monitoring of betting and gambling companies in its Confia programme to the Deope/SPO unit in São Paulo, effective 9 July. Portaria RFB 703, signed by special secretary Robinson Sakiyama Barreirinhas, sets out the jurisdictional change; companies assigned to two other São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro units remain there under an earlier order.
Operators in the Confia programme will deal with a single São Paulo unit for national tax monitoring.
