Prosecutors seek 30-day suspensions for seven Jaraguá players after betting alert

Enforcement & compliance

Brazilian prosecutors requested preventive 30-day suspensions for seven Sport Club Jaraguá players after a report flagged betting around the club’s 8–1 defeat to Juventus de Jaraguá do Sul on 4 July. The Brazilian Football Integrity Unit document cited Sportradar analysis indicating bets anticipated a heavy Juventus win and at least eight goals; the players’ suspensions were described as preventive.

The requested suspensions affect seven players amid an investigation into alleged betting-related match manipulation.
