Polymarket plans legal challenge to ANJ site block in France

Enforcement & compliance

Polymarket said it plans to challenge in court the ANJ order blocking its website in France. The company argues that the platform provides information and peer-to-peer trading, and says French users have been unable to trade since November 2024. The ANJ cited 578,751 visits from France in June 2026 and classified prediction markets as illegal gambling.

The challenge could test whether France can block a prediction-market site that says it no longer enables local trading.
