PlayCity reports blocking more than 2,500 casino sites in Ukraine
Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation said PlayCity blocked access to more than 2,500 online casinos during its first six months of operation. The ministry also reported more than UAH 1.4 billion in licence-fee revenue and over UAH 52 million in fines for illegal gambling advertising. PlayCity said it is developing a national gambling addiction registry and an online monitoring system.
The reported enforcement totals and planned monitoring tools affect gambling operators’ compliance obligations in Ukraine.
