Regulation

Piauí’s government issued a decree setting rules for allocating betting revenue to public sports policies, according to the report. It directs 0.70% of betting activity revenue to the State Secretariat of Sports, which must prepare an investment plan and disclose financial flows through the State Transparency Portal. Transfers require budget approval, and unallocated funds are to be invested in instruments linked to federal public bonds.

The decree sets the share of betting revenue operators must account for in funding state sports policies.
