Regulation

A bill introduced in the Philippine House of Representatives on 26 August proposes banning online gambling advertising, promotion and sponsorship nationwide. The proposal covers digital and traditional media, influencers and sponsorships, while exempting land-based gambling advertising subject to responsible-gambling rules; proposed penalties include fines of 500,000 to 10 million pesos and prison terms of up to three years.
