M5S senators propose expanding Italy's sports gambling advertising ban

Regulation

Four Five Star Movement senators proposed an amendment in Italy's Senate to widen the gambling advertising ban in sport. The proposal would allocate at least 2.5% of specified tax receipts from sports betting to social and educational projects, with implementation rules to be set by ministerial decree within 60 days of the law taking effect.

If enacted, the proposed changes could affect sports-related gambling communications and direct a share of tax receipts to designated projects.
