Philippine lawmakers propose gambling advertising bans with different scopes
Philippine lawmakers have introduced two proposed gambling advertising bans, one covering gambling broadly and another targeting online gambling. Lawyers Russell Stanley Geronimo and Tonet Quiogue warned that enforcement against offshore platforms may be difficult, while licensed operators could face restrictions.
The proposals could change advertising obligations for licensed operators without ensuring equivalent enforcement against offshore platforms.
