PAGCOR voids PHP310m in public officials’ casino winnings

Enforcement & compliance

PAGCOR voided about PHP310 million in casino winnings from public officials in 2025, chairperson Alejandro Tengco said. He said the officials came from government departments and local government units, and that the agency reports cases to the employees’ respective offices. PAGCOR also signed an agreement with the Department of Justice to share employee profiles to help prevent prohibited staff from entering gaming venues.

Casino operators face reinforced checks against government employees barred from gambling under the cited rules.
