In brief
- Pagcor said Philippine gaming revenue was PHP83.72bn in Q3 2026, down 11.4% year on year.
- Revenue fell 5.0% from the previous quarter.

The Philippine gaming sector, non-casino operations included, generated PHP83.72 billion (US$1.33 billion) in gross gaming revenue in the third quarter of 2026, 11.4% less than a year before. According to a Friday press release from the regulator, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor), the GGR tally fell 5.0% sequentially.
Pagcor's chairman and chief executive, Alejandro Tengco, was cited in the announcement as saying that inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainty were still weighing on consumer spending. Tengco said: “These conditions have affected spending on discretionary activities, including gaming, and contributed to the weaker performance of certain segments.” Tengco noted that the year-on-year contraction had slowed compared with the second quarter, when revenue fell 20.3%. He said: “We recognise the challenges facing the industry, but the slower pace of decline in the third quarter is an encouraging development.” Tengco added: “We will continue to work closely with our licensees to strengthen industry performance while ensuring that gaming activities are conducted responsibly and in accordance with regulatory standards.”
Tengco suggested in June that the country's GGR might fall by up to 19% in 2026, pointing to Middle East geopolitical tensions and the impact on consumer spending.
