The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario issues guidance on identifying and supporting online players at risk of gambling-related harm. It expects registered operators to use automated and manual tools, monitor behaviour promptly and assess player-level risk using information such as betting patterns, spending, playing time and account activity.
Operators must use multiple data sources and monitoring methods to identify risk and provide timely support.
