NorthStar Gaming said Michael Moskowitz has left his roles as CEO and chair. The company appointed co-founder Corey Goodman as interim CEO and elected Dean MacDonald as chair; board member Barry Shafran also resigned, with no replacement named.

iGaming Ontario appointed technology executive Alfredo Tan to its board, the organisation said. Tan is global chief digital and information officer at Canada Goose and will join the board alongside its existing members.
The Ontario Securities Commission issued a failure-to-file cease trade order against NorthStar Gaming after it failed to file audited 2025 financial statements, related management discussion and analysis, and executive certifications. NorthStar said its auditor withdrew its report over concerns about controls for a vendor’s player account management software; the company’s annual meeting was postponed, while NorthStar Bets continued operating.
NorthStar Gaming said it plans to cut general and administrative expenses by about CA$3 million this year, with most of the measures already implemented. Management is also pursuing efficiencies in advertising, vendors and services, while the revised expense run rate is expected to be fully reflected from 2027.
RubyPlay partnered with NorthStar Gaming to add RubyPlay and Koala Games titles to NorthStar’s casino platform in Ontario, the companies said. NorthStar’s Dean MacNeil said the content would broaden its offering; RubyPlay’s Eyal Loz said the partnership would expand its reach in the province.
Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) fined NorthStar Gaming (Ontario) Inc. C$100,000 over alleged breaches of provincial anti-money laundering requirements. AGCO said the operator did not apply enhanced due diligence or verify a customer’s source of funds after its own procedures’ C$25,000 deposit threshold was reached in March 2024. NorthStar may request a hearing before the Licence Appeal Tribunal within 15 days of receiving the order.
