NICC keeps Star Sydney licence suspended through ongoing oversight

Enforcement & compliance

The New South Wales Independent Casino Commission has kept The Star Sydney’s casino licence suspended, according to a regulatory letter attached to the company’s filing. The government-appointed manager’s term was extended through 30 September 2026, unless ended earlier; the operator has not regained suitability to hold a licence.

The continued suspension and management oversight govern whether Star Sydney can operate and under what conditions.
