The New York Lottery received five first prizes and eight second prizes at the NASPL Awards 2026, the annual awards given by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries for marketing, advertising and communication work by North American lotteries. The lottery collected 13 awards in total at the 2026 edition, according to the report.
Among the recognised campaigns were those for Million Dollar Raffle and Year of the Horse, which the report says were noted for creativity, audience engagement and attention to cultural references. The campaigns were developed with McCann New York, which worked with the state lottery on work across television, digital media, out-of-home advertising and responsible-gambling awareness activity.
Gweneth Dean, director of the Division of Lottery at the New York State Gaming Commission, commented on the results, saying the awards reflected work on campaigns intended to connect with New York residents while balancing enthusiasm for the games with a commitment to safe play. Dean also cited the lottery's public function and the contribution of its activities to education funding.
The NASPL Awards are held annually for lotteries in the United States and Canada, recognising communication work in the sector. The report was published on 23 October 2026.
